Hirilandhoo: a thriving, sustainable fish-processing island with opportunities for all.
Our mission
To improve island life through accountable governance, adequate infrastructure and community participation.
02President's message
Hussain Nazim
President
Assalaamu alaikum. On behalf of the council, I welcome you to the official website of Hirilandhoo Council. This site is our promise that how we work, decide and spend will always be open to the people we serve.
Our focus for this term is clear: finish the harbour and reclamation works, grow the fish-processing economy, and make sure every family can reach the council's services quickly and fairly, whether on a phone or at the counter.
I invite every resident to follow our sittings, read our decisions, use the services and tell us where we can do better. A council is only as strong as the community behind it.
— Hussain Nazim, President
